Article Last Updated: 08/02/2008 12:37:52 AM EDT

TRUMBULL — A Monroe woman was killed Friday morning when her Jeep rolled over on Route 25 northbound, ejecting her from the vehicle.
Maria Isola, 27, of Bellevale Street in Monroe, was pronounced dead at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport about an hour after the 9:48 a.m. crash, State Police said.

Isola was driving a 2006 Jeep Wrangler in the highway's left lane, near Route 111, when she lost control, police said.

The Jeep re-entered the left lane and rolled over, throwing her onto the road's shoulder, state police said.

She was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.

Isola was unconscious at the scene and treated by Trumbull and Monroe emergency medical services.

The accident is under investigation by Trooper First Class David Koonitsky.
