Change your Clocks, Change All Detector Batteries
On Saturday October 31st, 2009 before you go to bed for the night, remember to turn your clocks back one hour. Your local fire departments also remind everyone to also change the batteries in any battery operated detector(s) (smoke or carbon monoxide) inside the residence.

Smoke Detectors Due Save Lives.

Please take the few moments to do this sometime this weekend.

On October 14, 2007 the Trumbull Center Fire District dedicated a monument to the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company #1, Inc. in memory of those who have served "Past, Present and Future".

Trumbull Day 2007
Trumbull Day will be held on Saturday June 23rd, 2007, from noon to midnight at Hillcrest Middle School 530 Daniels Farm Road. The Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company will have an apparatus on display, will hand out fire prevention material and answer other questions from the public. So stop on by and meet your local volunteers.

On Sunday May 20th, 2007, the Trumbull High School Marching Band will be holding its annual Touch-A-Truck Fundraiser at Trumbull High School. Various types of trucks and other vehicles that are used within the Town of Trumbull will be on display for the public to see and ask questions about. The event runs from 11:00a.m. until 3:00p.m. The Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company # 1 Inc. will be participating again this year. So take some time and stop by and see one of our fire apparatus and meet some of your town's volunteer firefighter's.

Fund Raising Car Wash
On Saturday May 6th, 2006, the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company # 1 Inc. will be having a fund raising car wash. This event will be taking place at Trumbull Center Station # 1 at 860 White Plains Road (across from Reservoir Avenue) from 10a.m. until 3p.m. The cost per passenger type vehicle will be $ 5. Larger type vehicles will be adjusted accordingly.

Get Out Alive!
TRUMBULL FIRE DEPARTMENTS HOST FDNY CHIEF JOHN SALKA'S GETTING OUT ALIVE PROGRAM"

Chief JOHN SALKA is a 23 year veteran of the FDNY and currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief in the 18th battalion in the Bronx. He has instructed at the FDNY Fire Academy in several capacities including it's Probationary Firefighters School, Captains Development Program, Firefighters Professional Development Program and it's Battalion Chiefs Command Course. He is a frequent author for the FDNY's WNYF magazine and is a contributing editor for Firehouse Magazine. Chief Salka has been a featured speaker at the Firehouse Expo in Baltimore and the FDIC in Indianapolis. He received the "Training Achievement Award" at the 2001 FDIC for his "Get Out Alive" firefighter survival program, which has been a model for many other such programs throughout the U.S.
