Master Streams
Master Streams are used to put "Big water on Big fire....FAST". Often times these streams could flow 300-1500 Gallons per minute which is allot of water. Master Streams can be used to protect large areas being threatened by fires, used to cool down tanks (i.e. Propane or Gasoline) to prevent them from exploding or used to come into an out of control situation which needs to quickly (BLITZ ATTACK) cooled down. Normally a Master Stream is used in conjunction with smaller more manageable streams for strategic attack.

Mock Extrication at Trumbull High School
Annually, The Trumbull Center Fire Department along with our Sister Volunteer Fire Departments Long Hill FD and Nichols FD work along side of Trumbull Emergency Medical Service to show all the Trumbull High School students what it would be like if they were to be involved in a car accident involving drinking while under the influence. The following pictures will show some of the graphic detail the Trumbull High School Drama Club did to the Mock Victims in the accident. The Trumbull Police Department provided a Mock Arrest and DUI TEST in front of all the students as Life Star Helicopter lands to transport some of the most Mock Critically injured victims. This is an annual event and usually happened the week of the Trumbull High School Prom and Post Prom Events.

BUS EXTRICATION - 12/07/2000
Members of the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company # 1 Inc. conducted a bus extrication drill for its weekly drill. The idea for this drill came from a recent extrication class held in Monroe, Ct. that six members attended. Firefighters were able to try various techniques for entry and patient removal, as well as to familiarize probationary members with equipment and its operation that is carried on the rescue truck. We wish to thank those groups and individuals involved to make this possible: First Student Transportation(Ryder Transportation) - Pam Pratt, Dave Lampart and the employees of the Chester, Ct. bus yard Bud's Towing - Charlie, for arranging delivery and removal of the bus Stratford Collision - for having a tow truck at the drill for members to discuss its usage if needed in the extrication process and the equipment it carries. Thank you to all.
